Get lost in the rustic luxury of this spacious retreat, featuring dual living spaces, 2 kitchens, 5 bedrooms plus loft bunks and game room! Enjoy the lake forest scenery from the multi-tier deck terrace or explore the natural cliff rock along the private path to the lake. Guests can fish, kayak, paddle board and swim right from the property shoreline! Located just 1 hour from Louisville, Mammoth Cave and Holiday World.

Good to know

Cabin with newer addition that doubles the living space. 4 of the 6 bedrooms/sleeping spaces are on the second floor and require stairs to access. The front drive offers parking for a max of 6 vehicles; from the front drive to the front door there is 6 wide steps down. The double cabin sits on steep, rocky/wooded land. Gravel paths connect the fire pit area to the driveway and down to the lake. Lake is also accessible via deck steps from the house. This property is perfect for families vacationing or celebrating the holidays together. The lodge sits in a quiet, private neighborhood where friendly neighbors value respect, peace and quiet. We have a zero tolerance policy for parties. Quiet hours must be respected, 11pm-7am. The lake water level will vary throughout the year. The Corp of Engineers (COE) controls the water level and lowers the water level every winter to a “winter pool” and then slowly raises it starting in April to the Summer level. Summer pool is from Memorial Day-October 15th.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire house with exceptions to the garage and the dock. We share the dock with our next door neighbors and the Corps of Engineers does not allow renters to use the home owner’s docks for boating, fishing, swim etc., however, renters can fish, swim, or put in a kayak from the shore next to the dock.

The dual-cabin setup offers parking spaces with gravel surfaces that can comfortably fit between 6 to 8 vehicles. From these parking zones, a set of six broad steps, which are not steep, lead downwards to the main entrance of the house.

We rented both sides/cabins and had such a great time! They thought of EVERYTHING. We could have literally just showed up with clothes and groceries. Some examples of extras that you wouldn't think would be there are spices, a crock pot, shampoo and soaps, curling iron, bug spray, sunscreen, books, & board games. Plus all of the fun outdoor things. And being able to bring my son's dog was so nice! He had a fun time swimming for the first time. The ONLY negative was the number of steep steps to get down to the water. I believe there are about 40 steps down from the porch. Not a big deal for the majority of us, but my dad had a hard time and my mom couldn't go down at all. Just something to consider if your traveling with people with limited mobility. We still loved it so much that we plan to try to go back yearly! Abby is a great - very friendly and helpful- and she responded quickly to all of my questions. She has done an amazing job making this house feel like a home away from home.

This was the perfect spot for a family vacation! We enjoyed this beautiful home with lots of amenities and peaceful surroundings. The house has so much to offer for all ages and is really set up perfectly to allow for gathering together as well as retreating to your own spaces as needed! Would 100% recommend!

This is by far the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at! Wow!! All the little extras pushed this place from great to amazing! It was gorgeous, beautiful inside and out but their attention to detail anticipating every possible need guests might have was what impressed me most. We have a large family(7 kids and some spouses) with so many different wants and needs. Everyone loved this house!!! Wow! Just wow

The cabin was beautiful and spacious. We had everything we needed. The outside area is also beautiful! The kids enjoyed kayaking. Abby is a great host. We really enjoyed our stay!

This cabin is right on the river overlooking the water, has multiple decks to enjoy the view, and has plenty of room to relax. It felt even bigger than the photos depicted. The hosts were great, responsive, and the self check in was easy. No complaints whatsoever. Would stay again.

This was a great place for our family! We had 3 couples and 7 kids total (4-16yo) and we stayed 3 nights. Unfortunately with the abnormal amount of rain before our stay, the water was very high which made it impossible to fish. But Abby was wonderful and suggested other fishing spots. The house was clean, organized and well stocked with everything. Very accommodating with more than you typically see with renting a home. It was overall very comfortable and had enough room for everyone. The kids loved that they pretty much had their own apartment with a kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedrooms on one side of the house. Everyone enjoyed the game room, firepit and kayaking. We did get several splinters from the floor in the gameroom but we just made sure to wear our shoes or slippers and had no other issues. I highly recommend this house to anyone wanting a nice family getaway! Thanks for the great memories!

This place was great. We had 3 families and the kids enjoyed everything about the place. The Kayaks were a lot of fun and the fire pit was very enjoyable. It was also fully stocked with everything you can imagine which was a huge benefit. The house was an hour and a half to Mammoth Cave but it was an easy drive and very peaceful on the river. Highly recommend this place. We also went to Steak & Stone restaurant in Leitchfield which we highly recommend. A great find.

10/10!!! It was beautiful! Every cabinet and switch is labeled… sooo nice! They provided things like bug spray, lake towels, and a lighter for the outdoor fire! The wood was included too! Such a great place!

Four families stayed for a weekend getaway and had a wonderful time! It was a very rainy weekend, but there was plenty to keep all the kids (ages 8-13) and adults entertained! There were so many games, but the Wii, dart board, and Pac-Man game were the clear winners. Everything was immaculate and so very well organized! There were more than enough towels, pillows, cooking utensils, paper towels, etc. Abby herself was such a gracious host - she was so very responsive to our questions and proactive in keeping us informed of what to do in bad weather. There was a terrible storm that weekend and she proactively let us know where flashlights, lanterns, and batteries were. Fortunately we didn’t lose power - but we were well prepared. It felt like we’re staying at the home of a friend! We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing! By far, the cleanest, nicest place I have stayed. This is the best thought-out cabin around. They have everything you need, and very high-quality of everything. Felt right at home and all guests raved about how nice and that there was everything you could possibly need. The place was beautiful; everyone wanted to stay longer! Pictures to not do the place justice; much better in person! Abby was extremly responsive and welcoming. Very highly recommend!
